TIPS FOR THE RUNNING OF THE BRIDES
Is it your first time at Running of the Brides? Here are some tips to score the dress of your dreams!
BEST TIME TO ARRIVE: If you want to be among the first through the doors (they open at 8am), get their between 5am and 7am …or even earlier! If running with the pack isn’t your idea of fun, you can plan to arrive later. By late morning, the early brides have made their selections and most of the gowns are back on the racks. You can shop at your own pace, right up until closing at 9pm.
DRESS CODE: There are a limited number of fitting rooms at Filene’s Basement. There is a temporary “bullpen” fitting room set up, too. However, most brides choose to strip down on the selling floor where there is more space. In that case, you should wear a sports bra, shorts, a bathing suit, or a leotard.
BRING FRIENDS TO HELP: Fun loving friends with good taste and patience can bring dresses to you to try on!
IDENTIFY YOUR TEAM OF FRIENDS: Wear matching hats, bring walkie-talkies … anything to help you find each other easily in the craziness!
